Endocannabinoid System and CBD

Modern science has discovered some new things about the endocannabinoid system. It has been found that the endocannabinoid system not only responds to endocannabinoids created in the body bit also responds to the external hemp like phytocannabinoid cannabidiol (CBD).

Inserting CBD into the body can assist in reducing symptoms of an extensive range of diseases, comprising of multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, depression, chronic inflammation,   rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, opiate withdrawal and anxiety. CBD works on the CB1, and CBD2 receptors present all over the body to create a variety of possible positive results. CBD is not directly linked to any of these receptors but affects them indirectly. These indirect measures include activating the TRPV1 receptors which control essential functions such as body temperature, inflammation and pain perception.

CBD also increase the anandamide present in your body. Anandamide, known as the bliss molecule, plays a part in neural production of motivation and pleasure. By activating the endocannabinoid system, CBD reduces the sensation of pain and inflammation and promotes balance.

Effect of CBD on the Endocannabinoid System

The purpose of the endocannabinoid system is to respond to endogenous hemp in the human body. Amid the research, scientists learned that the system would also recognize and respond to cannabis from external sources, including CBD.

As per the National Institute of Health, using the endocannabinoid system by the introduction of external cannabis such as CBD can be beneficial in the treatment of various medical diseases. Some of these diseases include Multiple sclerosis (MS), Pain, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Epilepsy, Parkinson’s, Dyskinesia, Acne, Inflammation and Psoriasis.

Since endocannabinoids are found in all mammals, CBD is not just for humans. You can give CBD to your pets to help relieve anxiety and joint pain etc. Pet CBD products include topicals, treats and oils etc.

How Does CBD Interact With ECS?

CBD is another cannabinoid present in cannabis. It does not make you high as in the case of THC and does not cause any bad effects. Experts aren’t sure how CBD interacts with ECS. But they know it doesn’t bind to CB1 or CB2 receptors like THC. However, it is a common belief that it works by avoiding endocannabinoids from breaking down, allowing them to have more of just affecting the body. It is also believed that CBD is bound to a receptor that has yet to be discovered.

Although the details are still under the debate phase, research indicates that CBD can help reduce the pain, nausea and other symptoms associated with multiple conditions.

Remember, there have been significant increases in research on CBD as a wonderful source of relief, but the FDA has not yet approved the data on medical claims regarding CBD.
